2 years agoI really, really wanted to like this place since it is local and the food is pretty good. This was our 3rd or 4th time visiting. The food has always been pretty good and creative but expensive for what you get. I mean, this is DeFuniak Springs, not 30a! We visited on a Sunday for brunch. I would say the biggest issue is the service. Our server was incredibly slow and even forgot some things we ordered that we had to ask her to take off the ticket. She admitted she forgot about it. I would understand if it was very busy, but she had at max 3 tables including our party of 5. And it seemed she was the only server besides the bartender. All we want is courtesy. Just Let us know things are going slow, just check on us once in a while, refill our drinks, etc. But none of that was done. Having to flag down your server is humiliating for both the customer and the server! And This isn't the only time we have come and had mediocre service. I didn't leave a review prior because I was hoping that things would improve with time. Unfortunately, they didn't and sadly I don't think we will return.

2 years ago⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere is so inviting and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The dim lighting and comfortable seating create a warm ambiance that's hard to find elsewhere. Now, let's talk about the pizza – oh my goodness, it's a true masterpiece! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside. Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the toppings were fresh and generous. I'm still dreaming about that delightful combination of ingredients. What really stood out to me was the variety of specials they offer. It's clear that the chefs are passionate about experimenting with flavors. Every visit feels like a new culinary adventure, as they always have something new and exciting on the specials menu. If you're looking for a place with a fantastic atmosphere, mouthwatering pizza, and an ever-changing array of specials, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to come back and indulge in another unforgettable meal! 🍕🍕🍕

2 years agoStopped in on a whim for a late lunch. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Service was great and the bartender is awesome...just had to tell her my liquor preference and she made a delicious summer drink for me. We had the fish melt sandwich and a burger. Both were delicious and the garlic aioli with the fries was really good. We got the bananas foster cheesecake for dessert and it was amazing and tasted homemade. I live 30 minutes away but will definitely be coming back to try dinner and more yummy drinks!

2 years agoMy family and I have been to Embers many times. The food is always delicious! The price point is a little high for our area but worth it. They have some of the best greens I’ve ever had (wish they were on the menu more often). I love how they change their menu regularly to offer fresh, new options. The only think I would not recommend here are the cheese boards offered at brunch, due to the cheese selection being very basic. If the cheeses were upgraded to something like Brie, goat cheese, and more gourmet options, I would definitely order it in the future. Service has consistently been good as well.

3 years agoLoud. Maybe need to install some acoustic absorbing walls/ceilings. I though the music didn’t fit the atmosphere. Dirty menus. Nice food selection. Pretty ambiance. Don’t have the full menu for lunch during brunch on Sunday.

3 years agoWe went here on the recommendation of my daughter and son in law. I ordered the shrimp and crawfish pasta. My wife ordered the shepherd's pie. My daughter had a cheese calzone and my mother had a stromboli. The seafood pasta was great and the calzone was reported as great as well. That's where things got interesting. The shepherd's pie was dry and was missing something we just couldn't place. The stromboli, it has chunks of chicken in it? Both people who ordered it were surprised by that. There was no mention of that in the menu and if it were they would have ordered something else. Other than the shepherd's pie, everything tastes good for what it was. Be careful and ask questions I guess and you might be a bit less surprised than we were.

3 years agoCorn beef and potatoes on a pizza?? Yup, it was delicious! Irish chicken stew soup was great comfort food. Staff was super and we even had a quick chat with the pizza artist. Will definitely come back when I visit to try another creation.
